Survived our first tornado! It was right by the school while Adam was still there playing a dodgeball game (I know dorky right...only med students consider dodgeball a sport) I was a little nervous the sirens were going off down there and everything. So far they have found seven bodies because of the storm. There was tons of flooding and it was pretty crazy. My work is only like 10 minutes away and it took me forty to get there that morning. We are both safe though and I feel very grateful for that!
We spent time with them...
So so so so lucky to have them here. Jessica gives me a little bit of home every time I see her and Jed gives me a few laughs.
I decided that this little boy and another little girl that is not pictured are going to be my Texas niece and nephew.
Celebrated a fellow med student (Ben's) birthday with dinner and games at the park.
We are so lucky to have so many great friends. There are 25 married med students and 7 of them are from BYU. They are all great to me and Adam.
I successfully recreated this recipe...The first time I made it it was the most spicy thing I have ever put into my mouth (Jenny you would have died) if you don't believe me ask chelsey. This time I changed the recipe a little and it was DELICIOUS.
Cajun Chicken Pasta (Get this: Adam didn't know that you are supposed to break off the bottom of the asparagus....I guess I shouldn't say anything cause at least he was helping.)
We fed the missionaries and it really made me miss him.....(only one year left)
Wow Kat that is crazy! I had no idea that there was a tornado! How scary! Sounds like you are liking Dallas and I'm so glad! Love ya!
