So Adam's Birthday is tomorrow....He is going to be 26. I can't even believe it. We had a pretty busy week and I was trying to figure out a time when we could have our friends over and have cake and ice cream. It was looking like it wasn't going to work out. So Wednesday at 3pm I decided I was going to throw a surprise party for him.
I felt so sneaky. I really liked it. I hurried and texted all our friends, texted Adam and told him I had a surprise for him when he got home, and baked a cake. Time slightly got away from me and Adam called me when he was on his way home from school and my cake was still hot and my house smelled like cake from a mile away. I ran the cake and frosting over to my friends house so she could frost it and bring it over when she came to let people in. I hid the ice cream, sprayed the house with an entire can of febreeze to try and get the cake smell out and waited patiently. Adam got home and I told him we were going to celebrate his birthday at outback since we wouldn't have a better day to celebrate it. (Much to my surprise He didn't notice the cake smell.) We left for dinner and had a great time. The entire time people were texting me and I was on my phone a lot answering friends questions. Adam kept getting mad at me and asking who I was texting. I kept telling him it was about visiting teaching. Luckily he didn't grab my phone cause usually he does. I had to pretend like I really had to go to the bathroom on the way home because I couldn't stop laughing. Then finally we made it home and I hadn't blown it. Adam unlocked and opened the door and everyone said surprise. He SLAMMED the door shut pushed me out of the way and started running the other direction... Then he realized. It was pretty hilarious. Everyone said it was the best surprise they have ever seen. I totally agree. So many people came with it being such short notice. Just shows how much everyone loves him.
I have no idea why Adam's Face is so blurry in this pic.
I will never forget Adam's reaction when he opened the door! It was priceless...
