In the middle of May Allie and I went to california with my mom, sisters, and 1 of my sister in-laws. I was soooo (with 100 O's) nervous about the trip. I was nervous I wasn't going to be able to handle Allie by myself. I was nervous about flying with her. I was nervous I was going to ruin my perfect sleeper. I was nervous Allie would get sick. I almost didn't want to go. But I am so glad I didn't wimp out because it was soooo (with 1000 O's) fun! Adam has had a really busy schedule the last couple of months so it was really nice to get away and be a single mom having fun rather than a single mom at home.
Here we are after we made it through security. It is actually what I was dreading the most about flying and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Allie did really good on the flight there. No fussing. Just hung out on my lap.
Beach day #1. Here are the sisters and mom hanging out on the beach. Farthest back is my mom, then Jenny, then Jana. Jenny is lame and every time we go on vacation she spends more than half of it reading. So there she is being lame. I can't even believe I got her to look up for this picture!
Allie did great at the beach. She did fuss a little when the wind got strong. This girl does not like wind blowing in her face!
Bedtime! Jana eating cheesecake in bed. Allie in her nasty hand me down pajamas. So I had a bit of a mom fail. Allie went through a growth spurt the first couple days we were there. She turned 3 months while I was gone and I mostly only brought her 0-3 month stuff. Which had fit perfectly fine until like the 2nd day and I put on her pajamas and she looked like a star fish. Couldn't straighten her arms or legs all the way! These were the only pj's I brought that were 3-6 months. All of her other 0-3 month clothing still fits it is just the 1 piece stuff is way too short these days! She is serious about sticking with the clothing sizes.
Morning walk to the beach. Naturally she slept through the entire thing.
Balboa Island Ferry
We ate at this little restaurant for breakfast twice. It is a yummy little place right on the beach. It has a special place in my heart because it is the first restaurant I have ever breast fed in. (That's a joke btw). This little that was sitting at a table across from us was not about to take her eyes off of me. It was so funny. I am sure she got a pretty good show because I am not the best covered nurser.
I did get better at nursing on the go though. Here we are in the minivan. I got used to running to the minivan to feed the babe.
I spy a nursing cover at the pool too!
One of my favorite pics of the trip!
Chilling on her chair at the beach!
Cute new pictures in your header!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a fun trip, and that I got to see you for a minute of it!
