Then Came Utah

When I booked my ticket to California I decided to make a pit stop in Utah on the way home. Since Adam never had any spare time in the month of May we decided to make the most of our travels.
Baby Addy and Baby Allie are almost exactly a year apart. You have to watch Addy really close because any time she thinks there isn't an adult watching she gets googly eyes and makes a break for the baby.

We got to go to my nephew Cole's elementary graduation. It was pretty fun. He is the most popular kid at school and has won the field day race 6 years in a row. He calls himself a six-peat.
Sam LOVED baby Allie. He hasn't figured out the whole gender thing yet though. He was constantly call her a he. I would ask him if baby Allie was a boy or a girl and he would say, "A girl. He is so tiny. He is so cute."Sam is the youngest of 5 boys and by default he is pretty spoiled. See the gun in that picture? I asked him where he got it and he said, "The diet coke store." That is his alternate name for gas stations. I am sure he is drug to the "diet coke store" several times a day just the way my kids will be!

My niece Kate loves Alice too! She thinks it is awesome that she and Allie sort of have the same name so anytime she says Allie's name she makes sure to say the whole thing (Alice Kate) so her own name is thrown in there. When we were in Utah in March for the wedding Kate had a cough and her mom would not let her go near Allie. (Thank goodness for aware people). She is obsessed with babies and was pretty bummed. So when I came back in May she kept saying, "Katie I'm not sick anymore. I can hold Alice Kate now." "Can I please hold Alice Kate? My cough is gone." Everything is Alice Kate. Never Alice or Allie. Oh and she is obsessed with me feeding Allie in front of her always promising she wont look. It is pretty comical.

I was home over Memorial Day and we have a standing tradition in my family to go visit our family members graves sometime over the weekend. My mom had a full-term still birth that is buried by my Grandparents. We always take flowers to all of their graves.

Grandma Alice's Grave. (I am so sad we didn't get a picture by the other Grandma Alice's grave.)

Allie and Rylee                                          Maya, Megan, Allie

This sums put my family pretty accurately. The girls standing close being normal, touching each other, looking at the camera and smiling. The boys awkwardly standing, hands in pockets, with my dad not anywhere close to anyone else in the picture! P.S. We are missing 3 of my brothers in this picture but I assure you they would be doing this exact pose. (Besides Scott. The one that put me in the shower. He does a mean pose.)
This is better. Here is is more in his element. I guess candid pictures are the way to go with Grandpa Hank. Who wouldn't want him for a Grandpa?
