Alice at 8 Months

•  This little monkey turned 8 months old on the 25th! We love her so much! She is getting more fun by the day.
• Allie has decided I am no longer the coolest thing in the house and prefers to be down and exploring the house rather than being held by me or contained in her highchair.
• Allie learned how to clap this month and things it is pretty awesome when she does it.
• She got her two bottom teeth (that actually happened between month 6 and 7 but I forgot to mention it).
• She starting doing the real crawl. 
• She decided she hates taking our monthly photo shoots as depicted in some of the pictures below and refuses to leave the month sticker on herself for more than 3 pictures.
• Alice puts everything in her mouth. She especially loves the leaves that are all over my floor.
• Quite the personality is shinning through. She thinks that everything is hers whenever she wants it. 
• She has started being deliberate. The other day she was deliberately ignoring Adam and she thought it was hilarious. 
• Adam and I really spoiled Allie while we were in Utah so when we got back here we had to sleep train her. We did the cry it out method.... I know it is controversial but it worked great for us. The first night she cried for 17 minutes which is so much better than I was expecting. Now she almost never cries when we put her down and she is sleeping between 10-12 hours each night. It is heaven. 
• Allie looooves popsicles and really wants to eat anything we are eating. 
• My child thinks she is older and stronger than she is. She tries to stand up in the middle of the floor but her legs are not strong enough and she falls over and hits her head about 20 times a day. It hasn't stopped her from trying though. She can pull up on the couch and stand for a really long time. 
• Allie really loves me. She is going through a major mommy only phase.... I'm kind of over it but I love it at the same time.
