This past weekend we were able to go to Nashville. It was the first time just Adam, Allie, and I have been on vacation together. Not gonna lie.... Traveling without your mom really sends you flying into adult hood. Takes any dream or still be a child and throws it out the window. Rental cars, flight check ins, hotel reservations, hotel keys.....So much to keep track of.
When we got to Nashville it still was going to be a while before we could check into our hotel so we headed straight downtown and started the vacation as every vacation should be started, with food. We went to a BBQ places that was recommended to us by a friend that used to live there. It was delish.
The weather was gorgeous and so fallish. I was loving it.
We spent some time walking around Vanderbilt campus and it is beautiful and I kind of just love this picture!
Allie was in heaven in the swimming pool. She loved it. It was probably the best day of her life. It was a really nice really heated pool!
We took our child to a bar to hear this pretty lady sing. Yes I recognize this picture is horrible. Birtney Holman (stage name Iris) grew up in my neighborhood and has been a singer in Nashville for a while. She posted on facebook that she was going to be singing at a bar pretty close to our hotel so we went...With our baby. No biggie! It was super fun. Wish we could have stayed the entire night listening to the amazing musicians.
Did a drive by of this place. It was packed but I do think I got a glimpse of Rayna and Deacon.
